On 9 December 2025, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education held a creative seminar in Tashkent titled “School of the Future.” The event took place at the Ground Zero (Kitob Olami) complex and brought together ministry leadership, national and international experts, representatives of relevant organizations, as well as specialists in the field of education.

The main objective of the seminar was to analyze the current state of the country’s educational infrastructure based on facts and data, to study advanced international experience, and—taking it into account—to develop the initial prototypes of the “School of the Future” concept.
The event was opened by Timur Komilov, Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education. The seminar highlighted modern pedagogical approaches, emerging trends in requirements for the educational environment, as well as strategic directions for improving the system.

Nargiza Kuchkarova, a specialist of the UNESCO national project, delivered a presentation titled “Where Are We Now and Where Are We Heading?”. This was followed by a presentation from Mavlonbek Ajamov, a specialist of the Agency for Strategic Development and Reforms under the President (Delivery Unit), who presented geospatial data on the condition of the country's educational infrastructure broken down by functional zones.
The main part of the seminar was conducted in a group-work format using the design thinking methodology. The participants identified the needs of students, teachers, and school staff, examined existing challenges, and developed prototypes of innovative solutions based on international experience.
As a result, four working groups presented their prototypes, one of which focused on inclusion-related issues. The proposals presented will be thoroughly analyzed and prepared for implementation during the subsequent practical stages.
Following the seminar, a working group was established to ensure the systematic implementation of the “School of the Future” initiatives and their integration into the national education system.
The Ministry of Preschool and School Education will continue its consistent efforts in this direction and reaffirms its readiness for open collaboration.
